Randy King graduated with a BA and MBA from the University of Washington and proceeded to proudly serve in the United States Air Force for 23 years specializing in Contracting and Financial career fields, plus extensive experience in Project Management and in Contract Administration and Construction.
Randy’s unique ability to pull people and the elements of a deal together often seem uncanny. He typically has a smile on his face and can deliver some less than exciting news with a smile, making the recipient still feel like Randy is on their side. These people skills translate to well-developed relationships with both borrowers, investors and other lenders, alike. His ability to craft a deal is something of an art form that only he has achieved.
Randy started remodeling houses in 1987 when with the military he moved to a new city every few years. In 1994 Randy started and ran a family construction company with his son Matt King, specializing in residential renovations, and deck and barn building. That business continued to evolve into their single-family rehab investing business. In 2007, Randy and Matt partnered with Andrea Trout in a real estate investment company. Their projects included single family rehabs, rentals, small multi-unit and commercial property—most of which were financed through the use of private funds.
This extensive real estate investing business experience led to the building of their private lending business—in the name of The Legacy Group, Inc. in 2011. In his spare time, Randy enjoys spending time with his wife, riding horses in the Colorado landscape, playing golf, reading in his chair, and finally a good single malt scotch.
