One of the advantages of investing in The Legacy Opportunity Fund I, is your investment is diversified across the entire portfolio of assets. The Fund invests in 2 asset classes, notes and direct investment in commercial properties. The advantage of trust deed and mortgages is safety and cash flow. Step 1: The Legacy Group sends a non-disclosure agreement to prospective investors.
Step 2: The Legacy Group sends private placement memorandum (PPM) to prospective investors for review. The PPM details the specific asset classes that the Fund will be investing in, and also discloses potential risks to investors who consider moving forward with investment into the Fund. The PPM also details The Legacy Group Rule Book, which is our underwriting criterion for each specific asset class.
Step 2: Investors who are interested in participating in the Fund will respond to their contact within The Legacy Group with the amount of capital they’d like to get involved. Investors may choose to invest using their own funds, or funds from a business account (such as a corporation, LLC, LLP, trust, etc.), or through their for self-directed IRA . There are certain tax implications which may arise with using your IRA, but those concerns can be discussed with your account representative. .
Step 3: The Legacy Group will then provide a subscription agreement for the investor along with an accredited investor acknowledgement, and the investor will wire the funds directly to the custodian. The custodian will then hold the funds until there is a direction from the Fund manager to invest in the next opportunity. The custodian is used as a third party layer of abstract from The Legacy Group’s access to the funds. There’s always a paper trail when using a 3rd party custodian, and we feel it’s important to include this level of protection to our investors.
